ELEOMAR CUELLO CALLES,

Biography
Eleomar Cuello Calles was born 1994, in Havana, Cuba. He lived in Chile from 2015- 2020, and now resides in Miami USA.
Despite his young age, Eleomar Cuello already has extensive stage experience internationally. He has been a member of the stable body of soloists at the Grand Theater of Havana, and at the National Theater of Cuba. Roles at these theaters include Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Barone Douphol in Verdi’s La Traviata, and Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème. He also appeared in these roles at the Opera of Daejeon in South Korea.
He also has performed Zúñiga and Morales in Bizet’s Carmen at the Rubén Darío Theater in Nicaragua, the title role of Mozart’s Don Giovanni in Chile, Silvio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci at the Rancagua Regional Theater, Donna Agata In Donizetti’s Leconvenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali at the Municipal Theater of Las Condes, Apolon and Pluton in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at the Teatro Oriente, Escamillo in Bizet’s Carmen at the Monumental Crescent of Rancagua, and Schaunard in Puccini’s La Bohème at the Regional Theater of Maule. Notably, he has been a regular guest at the prestigious Municipal Theater. He recently debuted at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid as the José Dolores Pimienta in Roig’s Cecilia Valdés, And will return in 2022 to perform in the Spanish opera Don Gil de Alcala, by Manuel Penella.
His upcoming engagements are at the Municipal Theater of Santiago in the 2021 season Where he will perform the roles Papageno in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Morales in Bizet’s Carmen, Roucher in Giordano’s Andrea Chenier, and Barón Douphol in Verdi’s La Traviata. Other roles include Masetto in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Uberto in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona, and Polifemo in Handel’s Acis and Galatea. He has also sung various roles in operettas and zarzuelas, including Danilo in Léhar’s Die lustige Witwe, Julian in Breton’s La Verbena de la Paloma, Leandro in Alonso’s Las Leandras, Lázaro Lecuona’s El Cafetal, and Pimienta in
Roig’s Cecilia Valdés.
Eleomar graduated from the National Lyric Theater of Cuba in 2013, where he studied with Adolfo Casas. He also completed a postgraduate in German Lied at the Higher Institute of Arts in Cuba, and the Liceum Mozartiano of Habana in 2013. That same year he won second prize in the National Singing Contest "Ernesto Lecuona" in Cuba. In 2020 Eleomar won second prize at the first Veronica Villarroel International Singing Festival in Chile. Additionally, he has also participated in recordings of the integral work of guitar and voice of Harold Gramadgtes, as well as the complete work for voice and piano by Ernesto Lecuona.
